Job description:
We are expanding the Marketplace Security domain and looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join an established team dedicated to enabling member security in Vinted.
As a backend software engineer, you will play a key role in driving technical initiatives, building new services, developing and maintaining features. Your main aim will be preparing the product for technical challenges ahead, ensuring Vinted members feel safe on the platform, and contributing to the Vinted vision of making second-hand the first choice. By joining Vinted you will become part of an active community of engineers who are exceptional at delivering the highest grade solutions and are keen on sharing knowledge.

Programming languages: Go, Ruby
Datastores: MySQL with Vitess, Redis
Observability: Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK stack
Streaming platform: Kafka
CI/CD: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Jenkins
Auth: Okta, OAuth, Open Policy Agent
Work in a cross-functional team, contribute to team and domain-level initiatives, and shape the features to improve security for Vinted members.
Transform large monoliths into smaller, component-based services, thereby promoting greater team autonomy.
Work on malicious actors prevention and mitigation.
Monitor and ensure the reliability of your code.
See your code affect millions of members almost instantly.
Requirements:
You have hands-on work experience in development or operations at scale.
You are driven by curiosity to explore and master new technologies and concepts.
You are aware of the newest AI solutions and can pick the best one to improve your role effectiveness.
You are committed to writing clean, maintainable code with a focus on accuracy and quality.
You have a strong inclination to collaborate with team members, share knowledge and foster a positive, cooperative environment.
